The academics are undoubtedly better than the alternative of the local public schools, but our family has found that many of the teachers are " long haulers" and seem complacent with very superficial instruction of their lessons. God forbid a student to question anything. Independent thought is frowned upon. Another disturbing issue with this school is the inordinate amount of teachers children attending. These kids are given the run of the school, and the usual rules do not seem to apply to them. Our son attended Bjams for 4 years, and truthfully I would not recommend it to prospective families. We chose another nondenominational middle and high school and it`s made a world of difference in his grades, approach to learning, and overall self-esteem.

BJAMS is a warm, inviting school where all kids all taught the necessary skills to become outstanding members of their community. This school makes a parent feel like their kids are safe and being well cared for. I love the attention to safety for high allergy kids. Teachers are the best across the board. Athletics continue to grow, taking over top spots in many sports in the county. It's nice to be able to say both the pledge of allegiance and a prayer at school!

Our child has attended Bishop Marshall for four years. We have found the school to be an excellent provider of quality education. The teachers and staff are very supportive and are always going out of their way to help students. Bishop Marshall welcomes all and despite the multitude of towns that the students come from there is a very strong sense of community.

Excellent school academically and all around exceptional community of parents, teachers and alums. Regardless of faith, everyone is welcome and broad-based universal values are woven into every aspect of the school. The athletics are getting stronger every year and the physical aspects of the school are exceptional (playing fields, building, new computer lab!). Highly recommended.
