Although Bridges Academy has only 145 students, the school still boasts competitive CIF Cross Country, Track & Field and Basketball teams.
Bridges Academy offers its Middle School students a variety of enrichment clusters geared toward advancing knowledge in students' fields of interest. Enrichment Clusters include subjects such as Chess and board games, Photography, Marine Biology, Medieval Manuscripts. journalism, inventions, language and culture, visual storytelling, claymation, organic gardening, science fiction, wellness/mindfulness.
Bridges Academy offers immersive, multi-grade winter and summer session courses for students interested in continuing their education after the semester has ended. Students explore the natural wonders of Los Angeles County, create short films, magnetize household objects, or even build medieval armor for heroic mock battles.
Bridges Academy is a college preparatory school dedicated to educating "twice-exceptional" students-gifted and highly-gifted with learning differences—in grades 4-12.
Bridges empowers its students to thrive academically and socially through small classes, differentiated instruction, and tolerance, creating an environment in which both gifts and differences are recognized and respected.
