Christ Covenant School Photo #2 - Throughout the last year, the sixth grade students visited with the junior kindergarten and kindergarten students to buddy read and serve as mentors.
Christ Covenant School Photo #3 - Classical education would not be complete without performing arts. Christ Covenant has an active performing arts department. It is a tradition at the Upper School to perform an annual musical. In the past, our drama/theater students have entertained us with the likes of Peter Pan, Into the Woods, Mary Poppins (pictured) and Happy Days. www.christcs.com/student-life/the-arts
Christ Covenant School Photo #4 - Chapel is held weekly (except on holidays). At chapel, speakers ranging from teachers, to parents, to staff of churches in the community provide a brief message. Music is often provided at the Lower School by music teachers featuring the hymn of the month. At the Upper School, music is led by a worship team of student volunteers.
Christ Covenant School Photo #5 - In 2019, CCS won the East Carolina University Stem Award. See www.christcs.com/academics to see more about the curriculum, academic competitions, honors & AP classes, dual enrollment, etc.
Christ Covenant School Photo #6 - CCS begins at the Junior Kindergarten level through high school to teach students the beauty, truth, and goodness of music. To celebrate the birth of Christ, each December we present a traditional concert of scripture and song called Lessons and Carols. CCS students also perform a Spring Concert. The listener is provided a feast of musical styles and genres.
Christ Covenant School Photo #7 - The CCS Swim team excels in their conference as well as the state. The boys 200 free relay team won the State Championship in 2019-20, the girls took the third place spot in the same event. See more about athletics at www.christcs.com/athletics.
Christ Covenant School Photo #8 - Because of the unexpected, but successful, transition to online school in March of 2020, CCS was prepared to offer the option of in-person, traditional learning or online learning through the home study program for the 2020-21 year.
Christ Covenant School Photo #9 - CCS is proud to have graduated four classes so far and looks forward to many more. The ideal graduate from Christ Covenant School shares in the distinctiveness of the school in the areas of academics, lifelong learning, reasoning, interconnecting reasoning with virtuous living, and holiness. Read more at www.christcs.com/about/our-ideal-graduate.
Christ Covenant School Photo #10 - CCS students are regularly offered the chance to serve, both in the community and within the school. Students have served in various ways including visiting the elderly, working at the Food Bank, hosting an annual blood drive and more. The students also demonstrate leadership through serving their school. See more about leadership opportunities at www.christcs.com/student-life/leadership-opportunities.
Christ Covenant School is an independent, non-denominational school that offers a unique combination of classical and Christian education.
As part of the classical model of education, the school uses curriculum that corresponds with children's cognitive and emotional development.
The school is organized to focus on the 7 pillars: Respect, Order, Diligence, Unity, Courage, Humility, and Integrity.
We teach truth, values, decision-making and critical thinking.  Students are taught how to learn, how to think and how to know, not merely what to know.  We encourage your visitation to see the difference.

CCS has been a wonderful experience for our family, 1st-10th grade thus far. CCS provides a rigorous and rewarding education that challenges and equips students to achieve at a high level academically and to become lifelong lovers of learning. CCS Faculty is super at effectively incorporating the Christian Faith and God's word into every subject taught. The commitment of the entire CCS faculty/staff to meet and exceed that standard is evident. The staff provides students with the support needed to excel academically all while incorporating God's Word in everything taught.
