Christian Brothers High School is an independent Catholic high school in Memphis, Tennessee for young men in grades 9 through 12. We are a community, inclusive of all religious, ethnic, and economic backgrounds, working together to achieve a shared mission steeped in Lasallian tradition: To give a human and Christian education to the young and to promote peace and justice, with a commitment to the service of the poor.

  • For more than 150 years, our school's inclusive community, or "Brotherhood," has defined the transformative student experience we offer at Christian Brothers High School. What's more, the fraternal bonds forged here create a lasting impact-a network of 12,000-plus alumni worldwide!
  • We serve boys across the entire Mid-South region, representative of more than 90 elementary and middle schools from 50-plus zip codes in Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas.
  • Our college preparatory academic program offers courses on multiple levels in order to serve a diverse group of learners. Yet,in the past five years, 14 students were named National Merit finalists with 29 students commended for their performance, and 15 students with a perfect ACT score. Notable college acceptances from the last few graduating classes include Carnegie Mellon University, Cornell University Duke University, Emory University, Georgia Institute of Technology, Northwestern University, Rhodes College, Rice University, Tufts University, Tulane University, UCLA, UNC-Chapel Hill,University of Chicago, University of Miami, University of Notre Dame, University of Pennsylvania, University of Virginia, US Air Force, Military, and Naval Academies,Vanderbilt University, and Yale University.
  • 65% of our students participate in sports with about 40% of those students being multi-sport student-athletes. We offer 14 different sports programs and have had teams in 50 State Championships, and each program has achieved at least one state title. Our baseball and soccer programs each hold the record for most state titles in Tennessee.
  • Instrumental to an unparalleled student experience at CBHS is our education in the disciplines of music (band and chorus), theatre, and visual arts. We pride ourselves on our enriched selection of opportunities for all students, regardless of previous experience or proficiency in any given area.
