Private School Review has partnered with Christine Chapman, to help guide families through the often overwhelming process of searching and applying to private schools. Christine brings over 18 years of experience to Private School Review, having helped over 1300 families find the right educational match for their students in her commitment of promoting educational success to students. Christine’s experience in servicing both domestic and international families, has helped her to develop a strong reputation as a highly respected independent counselor in the private school world: as a consultant committed to making her client’s needs and success a priority while being very mindful of each school’s mission, culture, philosophy and areas of strength.

Private School Review, in its partnership with Christine Chapman will offer 3 levels of service to cater to the needs of any family looking for an educational consultant. 

Basic Package

This package is best for the family who would like assessment and direction and is comfortable navigating the application and final school selection processes on their own. It includes the following:

  • Student and family interview and questionnaire
  • Student profile evaluation including educational history, current academic standing, activities’ profile, and future goals both of student and his/her parents.
  • Consultant to generate list of schools for the student and family to consider initially.
  • Follow up meeting between the student, parents and consultant, to narrow down the list of possible schools which seem to be good potential matches both academically, socially and extracurricularly.
  • The family is given a checklist as they go forward in pursuing admission to their schools.

Domestic Family Cost: $1,950 | International Family Cost: $2,450

Comprehensive Package

This package is geared towards families who feel they need more attention and guidance through the independent school search and admissions process. These families understand that it can be very difficult to find the right independent school match for their student.

  • Initial Student and family interview and questionnaire
  • Student profile evaluation including educational history, current academic standing, activities’ profile, and future goals both of student and his/her parents.
  • Consultant to generate list of schools for the student and family to consider initially.
  • Follow up meeting between the student, parents and consultant, to narrow down the list of possible schools which seem to be good potential matches both academically, socially and extracurricularly.
  • Advocacy of the student by consultant in the admissions process.
  • Guidance in managing the application process from visit and interview to submission, and right through the final selection of a school.

Domestic Family Cost: $3,950 | International Family Cost: $4,950

Hourly Services

Additional Services, such as interview coaching and preparation, help in approaching the application essays or any of the individual services included in packages can also be purchased on an hourly basis. Hourly services are ideal for those students and parents who feel they just need some help and expertise in one part of the independent school admissions process, or if they would like to tailor their own package. Hourly services can be purchased for $300 per hour.  

About Christine Chapman:

Christine Chapman began her work as an educational consultant in 1995. Since then Mrs. Chapman has worked with over fifteen hundred families in the educational process, and has developed strong relationships with admissions counselors and other educational consultants at more than two hundred fifty schools and colleges.

Mrs. Chapman currently has served as Senior Chair of the Schools Committee for the Independent Educational Consultants Association, board member for The Cape Cod Montessori School, vice-president and secretary of The Sandwich Montessori Enrichment and Assistance Fund, and as a member of the IECA Credentialing task force for schools consulting. She has presented experienced perspectives on diversity and the challenges of international student life in school communities at conference workshops sponsored by the following organizations:

  • Educational Records Bureau
  • Independent Educational Consultants Association
  • New England Association of College Admissions Counselors
  • Secondary Schools Admissions Test Board
  • Small Boarding Schools Association

Mrs. Chapman's international perspective has strong roots in her own life. Born and raised in Montreal, she has resided in Seoul, South Korea, Vancouver, Canada, Boston, MA, Plymouth, MA and will soon be transitioning to a new home in Hopkinton, MA.

Mrs. Chapman is an alumna of the Sacred Heart School of Montreal and Skidmore College, and is in pursuit of her master's degree at Harvard University. She is the author of The International Student's Guide to Applying to Private Schools for Admissionsquest.com, writes a college admissions-based blog entitled "College Chat with Christine Chapman" for the online publications www.capecodtoday.com and www.plymouthdailynews.com, She is also regular freelance writer and contributor for www.capecodkidz.com. Mrs. Chapman lives with her husband and her two children in greater Boston. She enjoys reading, writing, walking, regular gym visits, pilates, and has been grateful for the opportunity to work out of her home while her children were still young so that she could be active in their lives while pursuing a career positively impacting schools, students and families. As she looks to her immediate future she is excited to be joining Brimmer and May School as a faculty member where she will support international students from admissions right through to college counseling.
