The German-American International School (GAIS) mission is to provide an outstanding international, bilingual education focused on inquiry-based learning with the goal to foster confident, creative and responsible learners and global thinkers.
We believe that children can reach their fullest potential if they are able to develop a positive self-image.
To further these goals, our school offers a learning environment that fosters the development of a creative and critical mind.
The German-American International School (GAIS, www.gais.org) is a multi-lingual world school focusing on the academic core values and curriculum of the International Baccalaureate IB Program (www.ibo.org) and has been in the Silicon Valley since 1988.
GAIS in fact is the first and only school in the Bay Area to offer bilingual International Baccalaureate Programs from Preschool through Grade 8. Starting in 2016-17, the school will begin offering an IB High School with Grade 9, which is another milestone in the history of the German-American International School.
Please find more information about the IB High School on our website: http://www.gais.org/welcome-to-our-international-baccalaureate-high-school-ibhs/.
