Notes for Prospective Students
The following steps are necessary in order for the Admissions
Committee to consider your child`s application to
Grace Episcopal School. Schedule a virtual parent tour
of the school by calling the Admissions Office at 703-549-5067,
extension 115. Return a completed and signed application to the
school, along with the $75 non-refundable application fee. Schedule
admissions testing, where applicable (waived for the 2021-22
admissions season). Test results should be sent directly to Grace
Episcopal School. Applicants to Junior Kindergarten and
Kindergarten are required to take the WPPSI test. Applicants
to Grades 1 - 5 and children over six are required to take
the WISC-IV test. Applicants to Preschool have no requirements
for independent admissions testing. Give the Confidential
Teacher Evaluation and Records Release Form to your child`s current
teacher and/or school office. Once a file is complete, our
Admissions Office will schedule a classroom visit or play date for
your child (visits will be virtual for the 2021-22 admissions
season). The application must be received by February 5th, with all
supporting paperwork due by February 12th. Admission decisions
for students in Preschool and Junior Kindergarten become rolling on
January 31st; Kindergarten through Grade 5 will be released on
March 5th (in accordance with AISGW guideline). Age
RequirementsYour child must be 5 years old prior to September 1st
to be eligible for Kindergarten; 4 years old prior to September 1st
to be eligible for Junior Kindergarten; and 3 years old prior to
September 1st to be eligible for Preschool.
