My daughter is thriving at Hudson Valley Sudbury School. She is genuinely happy and approaches situations with confidence and ease. HVSS is more than a school -- it's a community of caring people who think deeply about the meaning of education.

The Hudson Valley Sudbury School has been a saving grace of my parenting experience. I am a parent of multiple students, some graduated and some still in attendance, over a period of seventeen years. The school does not waste any of the students` time, and it allows them to discover, and to be, exactly who they need to be. It`s an inclusive, supportive, and safe environment for students of every variety. Over time the school`s organizational structure has evolved dynamically and organically as a proper democratic institution should. My kids who have graduated from the school were thoroughly prepared to take on any challenge that interests them, and have done so. The school has been everything I hoped for and more than I imagined. I wholeheartedly recommend it for anyone to consider. I have never regretted it.

Our family has been involved with HVSS for several years. It was a great option for my son who was being homeschooled and wanted something different. We love self-directed learning, and this was the perfect fit! My son is able to spend his time as he wants, within the boundaries set by the community, and has made great friends while there.

My daughter has been going to Hudson Valley Sudbury School since she was 7. When she was in public school in one of the best school districts in the Hudson Valley, she would come home saying "school is ruining my life"! Since she has been attending Sudbury, she is happy, engaged and thriving. I cant put a price tag on my child's happiness and it is worth every penny invested in her self-directed education.

My daughter just graduated after three years at the Hudson Valley Sudbury School. She is confident, happy and ready to meet any challenge coming her way. Having the mental space to think about who she is and what she wanted out of her educational experience made a big difference. We will miss this place.
