School Notes

Iowa Christian Academy’s mission is to develop leaders committed to Christ. Founded upon the belief that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior, ICA’s mission is to raise generations of leaders committed to Christ, trained as His disciples, educated in a God-honoring, traditional education system, emphasizing biblical values, morals, character and integrity.

Iowa Christian Academy is a state-accredited college preparatory school. This means that a minimum of 80 percent of the school’s graduates must be accepted to four-year colleges – a benchmark ICA has exceeded. ICA’s staff works hand-in-hand with parents to vest in our students’ educations. Small class sizes and a commitment to excellence create an environment in which students are able to perform to their full potential. ICA students consistently score above local, state and national averages on standardized tests including the Iowa Assessments. Class composite scores show a full grade level or more ahead of standardized norms.

Each week ICA conducts two chapel services, one for elementary students and one for 7-12th grade students. The elementary chapel includes: reciting pledges to the flags and to the Bible; singing, prayer; and a brief message. Students play a major role in secondary chapel. Secondary students are led through worship and prayer by the high school Praise Team. A student committee works with the staff to arrange guest speakers to share a message.
