At MICDS learning is discussion-based and technology is seamlessly integrated across the curriculum.
Our 6:1 student-teacher ratio in the Lower School creates an environment where students are known and can work with teachers at their own pace.
The natural beauty of the 100-acre MICDS campus serves as a perfect backdrop for the School's exceptional facilities, designed in support of delivering an excellent educational experience for all students.
Our four-year nationally recognized four-year college counseling program sets us apart from other schools in our region.
Founded in 1859, MICDS is a nonprofit, independent, preparatory school offering non-sectarian education to qualified students regardless of national origin, race or religion.
MICDS consists of the Ronald S. Beasley Lower School, for grades Junior Kindergarten-4; Middle School, offering a coordinate model of single-gender education in the core curricular classes, for students in grades 5-8; and the Upper School for grades 9-12.
MICDS is recognized as one of the nation's leaders in independent education.
Our School cherishes academic rigor, encourages and praises meaningful individual achievement, and fosters virtue.
Our independent education prepares young people for higher learning and for lives of purpose and service.
