    HARRISONBURG — Daniel Snowden Chalfant, 80, of Harrisonburg died Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at Sunnyside Retirement Home, following an extended illness. He was born Sept. 4, 1929, in Tsing Tao, China, to the late Dr. Archibald Stuart Chalfant and Julia Merriken Chalfant.
