    Aberdeen Proving Ground physicist and ballistics researcher was active in charitable organizations Emerson V. Clarke Jr., a retired Aberdeen Proving Ground physicist and a decorated World War II infantryman, died Thursday of pneumonia at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. The longtime Bel Air resident was 85.

    Lawyer and author B owen Pattison Weisheit Sr., a retired Harford County real estate lawyer and author who wrote of his World War II experiences as well as the disappearance of flier Amelia Earhart, died of heart failure April 29 while shad fishing on the Susquehanna River.
