John, 14, of Old Bridge, died Nov. 6, 2009, in Old Bridge. He was a freshman at St. John Vianney High School, Holmdel. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Therese and Thomas B. Howley. Scout Robert Carricino is assisted in a flag-folding ceremony by Scouts Michael Shannon, Killian Fister, Brandon Herman and Marshall Culver. All belong to Monmouth Beach Boy Scouts Troop 1. Manalapan's Brian Grimm, a senior at Harvard University, was named to the All-Ivy League Soccer Team, Second Team. Grimm, a defensive midfielder, anchored a staunch defense that helped the Crimson win the Ivy League crown this fall. The Crimson registered eight shutouts en route to the Ivy League title.
