NEW FAIRFIELD -- Town resident Robin Culler sparked curiosity when she chose a book about sharks for her speech and language arts students to use at Green Chimneys School and treatment center in Brewster, N.Y. The questions the students asked about sharks compelled her to do more research.

PUTNAM LAKE - The dead goat bearing an insulting message that was found last week in front of Assemblyman Greg Ball's home was later disposed of by the town Highway Department and reclaimed a day later by state police.
