A little more than a year ago Steve Denny accepted the athletic director position at Christian Academy of Knoxville knowing an opportunity might arise on campus for him to coach basketball again. That avenue opened recently when Brian Hochevar stepped down as girls’ basketball coach to coach baseball at Grace Christian. Weeks later, Denny appointed himself as the replacement.
