    East Montgomery County Improvement District election: Voters approved a half-cent sales tax for the East Montgomery County Improvement District and the three emergency service districts in the area Tuesday. EMCID held the election separate from the countywide general election, so results were not available until Wednesday. Unofficially, 548 people, or 64 percent, voted for the sales tax.
