MARTINSBURG - Katie Bohrer said she aimed to become the top speller in the Eastern Panhandle. She accomplished her goal Saturday at The Journal's Tri-county Spelling Bee. The event was held at Martinsburg South Middle School, where Bohrer beat out about 35 other sixth-, seventh- and eighth-graders when she correctly spelled "prodition."
