Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 4709 The Voice of Democracy invites students in the ninth through 12th grade to write and record a broadcast script on a patriotic theme, competing for more than $2.5 million in college scholarships and incentives. State winners receive an all expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C. and compete for $149,000 in scholarships, with first place receiving $30,000.

After the second graduating class of The Woodlands Preparatory School took the stage Thursday afternoon at the Augusta Pines Golf Club in Spring the faces of the nine graduates put on an emotional display including from fear, excitement and anticipation.
