MEN’S ICE HOCKEY University of Massachusetts forward David Boehm, of Naples, scored his first collegiate goal as the Minutemen topped Niagara, 4-1, in a men’s ice hockey game on Nov. 6 in Amherst, Mass. The goal by the former Junior Everblade was into an empty net with 11 seconds left in the game. Boehm, a redshirt freshma, has two points in four games this season. Florida Gulf Coast University had two first-team all-Atlantic Sun selections, and the Eagles' Danielle Faller was named the league's Freshman of the Year on Thursday. Faller joins teammate Lindsay Haw as the only FGCU players to win Atlantic Sun Freshman of the Year honors; Haw won in 2007. WOMEN’S SOCCER Caitlyn Farrell (Fort Myers/Cypress Lake High) was one of seven Wake Forest Demon Deacons honored during pregame Senior Day ceremonies on Oct. 25.
