    AthletiCo , based in Oak Brook, held its first bone marrow drive June 8 and 9. The drive resulted in 44 employees joining the registry and $1,960 raised for the Be the Match marrow registry. The bone marrow drive was held as part of the Be The Match Marrowthon, an effort to bring 46,000 people to the Be The Match registry. Joining the registry is the first step in becoming a bone marrow donor.

    Graduation wasn't just a one-day event for the graduates of Hinsdale Adventist Academy. It was a three-day weekend. "It makes the whole entire weekend more meaning," graduate Erin Houda said. Graduation weekend was May 29 to May 31 and began that Friday night with a vespers service before the parent tribute.

    Choosing a mission trip over a leisurely vacation was an easy decision for the Hinsdale Adventist Academy seniors. "Initially, our reason was because we could get more days (off school)," said Erin Houda of Glen Ellyn, with a laugh. Although the seniors did spend more time away from school, they really wanted to use their senior trip to help others.
