Perelman Jewish Day School, founded in 1956, provides a rigorous dual-language K-5 program on two campuses in suburban Philadelphia (Melrose Park and Wynnewood).
The school is accredited by the Pennsylvania Association of Independent Schools and is a member of the Schechter Day School Network.
We are a diverse community, committed to serving students with varied learning styles and observance levels, as well as those from a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds.
Our outstanding general studies program is complemented by a robust Hebrew language/Jewish studies curriculum that emphasizes mitzvot, provides a solid foundation in Jewish tradition, culture and identity, and fosters a life-long commitment to the State of Israel.
Early mastery of a second language sharpens our students` ability to solve problems, focus attention, and be creative. They learn to hypothesize, analyze and interpret and gain the skills to communicate, collaborate and succeed in a global society.
Our fine arts/music programs foster an appreciation of beauty in our world and gratitude for the beauty in our lives.
At Perelman, we educate the whole child, enveloping social and emotional intelligence in an environment that encourages students to pursue their own paths by giving them the skills they need and by teaching them how to find meaning in what they do.
