Admission to Riverfield Country Day School is based on a combination of criteria, such as the student’s educational history, a personal interview and our intuitive sense that the individual is genuinely motivated to succeed. Also, in our best judgment, will the student benefit from the Riverfield experience? No one factor is more important than another. Our main concern is for the welfare of the individual student: Is Riverfield the right school for him/her at this time?
Take an initial tour of the school on a regular Open House day or schedule a time at your convenience.
Arrange a family interview with admissions personnel and/or appropriate Division Head. This can often be done in conjunction with the tour.
Provide Riverfield with available school records for an initial assessment. Riverfield will obtain an official transcript upon acceptance.
Schedule a visit for first grade and above. The prospective student should visit in a classroom during the regular school day.
Discuss the student's visit. Admissions personnel will contact you within a few days to talk about the visit from both the student and school's perspective.
Place the student. Riverfield may request a placement test after acceptance.
