Notes for Prospective Students
Complete teh application form and return it to NFA with a $110
application fee along with a copy of immunization records and birth
certificate. Applicants to Pre-primary (3&4 year olds),
Kindergarten, and Montessori Preschool Program: Child visits with a
certified teacher for a short screening. If the child attends
preschool, a Confidential Common Recommendation Form should be
completed by the chid's teacher. Applicants to GRADE ONE: Child
visits with a certified teacher for a short screening followed by a
morning classroom visit. A Confidential Common Recommendation Form
should be completed by the child's teacher. Parents complete a
Release of School Records Form, which is then submitted to the
child's present school. Applicants to GRADES TWO through EIGHT: The
child comes to visit NFA for a two-day academic visit. While
visiting, the child will complete a math and language arts
assessment. A Confidential Common Recommendation Form should be
completed by the child's math and language arts teacher. Parents
complete a Release of School Records Form, which they submit to the
child's present school. The student's visit i sused in conjunction
with the placement tests, student's current school records, the
evaluation from the student's current teacher, and the parent
discussions to determine acceptance and placement.
