Pirates invade during WGA's Pirate Week. Students learned the history of buccaneers, and how they would eventually help to shape the American History.
Sacramento Makers Academy is a private middle and high school where students and facilitators work to finish projects.
These projects range in scope and subject matter but must build skills and knowledge that add value to the student and society.
Value can be measured in different ways.
In general, if a skill could be added to a resume and increase the likelihood of being hired, it has value.
If something can be sold, it has value.
If information helps a maker see connections between people, places, history, or beliefs, it has value.

My son started at Makers School as a 7th grader, he will soon start 8th . He loves it! Everyday is a new experience for him, he looks forward to going. He is excited about the concepts presented, the teachers take interest and tailor each class to the student. They keep the class size small so that they can concentrate on each child needs.
