Sister Barbara Anne sincerely appreciates life. A native of the Detroit area who took her vows with the Sisters of St. Francis in 1952, Sister Barbara Anne spent most of her adult life as a teacher and principal at Catholic schools across the country.

MISHAWAKA -- They came wrapped in blankets and dressed in sweaters. Some donned hair bows and others sported bandannas. The young and old, large and small, scruffy and well-groomed, patient and anxious, waited in line outside Marian High School on Sunday afternoon to receive a special blessing.
