Early Thursday afternoon, Plainfield police apprehended a pair of suspects who fled from a routine traffic stop. Shortly after 2 p.m., Sgt. Tom Kinman attempted to stop a white Lincoln traveling west on Stafford Road for a seat belt violation.

Capt. Phillip Anderson can tell a difference in his current Iraq deployment compared to the first.For one, the living conditions have improved for the commander of the Army’s 1538th Transportation Company of the Indiana National Guard, based out of Elkhart.

PLAINFIELD — Three Con-way Freight employees were recently involved in a humanitarian effort to aid children in Iraq. Jeff Vineyard, Steve Crocket, and Tim Jackson are all drivers based out of Con-Way Freight’s Plainfield operation.
