Zion Lutheran School
School Notes Overview:
Zion Lutheran Christian School was founded in 1964 and is accredited by the National Lutheran Schools Association (NLSA) and the Southern Association of College and Schools Council of Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS/CASI). Both the church and the school ministry are members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Our faculty and staff consist of certified teachers and dedicated professionals committed to providing an environment that nurtures each student’s academic, physical, and spiritual development. Our teachers strive to offer a developmentally appropriate and challenging curriculum. Zion’s lower student/teacher ratio allows for effective interaction between student and teacher, resulting in significant student achievement. All children are encouraged to reach their academic potential, explore their creativity, and maximize their God-given abilities. Our students graduate from Zion as well-rounded individuals, prepared to succeed at the college level. The Zion Lutheran elementary school program is best characterized by its traditional academic emphasis on learning and critical thinking skills. Students in kindergarten through fifth grade are taught core subjects in self-contained classrooms. The lower student/teacher ratio allows for effective interaction between student and teacher resulting in significant student achievement. ...
