Since the 2005-’06 school year, the Boone Community School District has witnessed a decline in certified enrollment by approximately 200 students. However, as a new school year begins Aug. 18, preliminary enrollment numbers indicate that there could be potential concerns for at least two grade levels.
Astronaut visits Sacred Heart School for inspirational talk (Mid-Iowa News)

NASA astronaut Clay Anderson visited Sacred Heart School on Friday to speak with students and telling them that they can achieve their dreams through hard work and dedication. In 2007, Anderson spent 152 days on the International Space Station as a flight engineer on Expedition 15.
Sacred Heart School honors Sister Rose Hacker (Mid-Iowa News)

Celebrating the 135th birthday of the School Sisters of St. Francis on Tuesday afternoon, students at Sacred Heart School paid special tribute to Sister Rose Hacker, who has been a member of the Franciscan order since 1981. Pictured from left, are fourth-grade students Rylee Runyan, Andrew Troe, Andrew Haberer, Sister Rose Hacker, fourth-grader Kyli Behm and Principal Duane Siepker.
