- Sunshine Acres Preschool has served the Lawrence and surrounding communities with a quality program for young children since 1970. Children play and learn on a 3-acre, well-equipped, and beautifully landscaped playground. Programs include preschool, private kindergarten, and extended care services. Children are given opportunities to work at their own pace and achieve success at each level of the program. Each child receives individual lessons that are consistent with his/her abilities and need for challenging work. Equipment is self-correcting in order to aid in the child’s development of a sense of independence in his environment.
