Covington Catholic High School Photo #5 - With almost 600 students from over 50 grade schools, the Covington Catholic House System provides a structure to help each student find his place as a member of one of six "Column" groups, as well as one of the smaller, multi-grade "mentor groups" (~20 students in each) within the Columns. The Colonel House System benefits from strong student leadership, provided by multiple elected positions in each Column and Mentor Group. School Notes

As the only all-male and largest Catholic high school in the Diocese of Covington, our Mission iswitnessed:
  • Spiritually, when a young man experiences the humble satisfaction of participating in community service with his fellow CovCath brothers. Our students contribute twice the required hours of community service, via tutoring at inner city schools and working at Special Olympics events. In addition to Mass and other sacraments offered at school, they seize opportunities to grow and communicate their faith, such as the annual March for Life and mission trips.
  • Academically, via a wide range of academic programs and levels. We celebrate exceptional achievements, such as an ACT average of 26 and 85% AP Exam pass rate (both well above state and national averages), 7 National Merit Finalists, and 34 AP Scholars. But, we also boast of a range of disciplines (from arts to STEM) and levels which allow each student to be challenged in area(s) of academic strength, with a strong college prep curriculum in other areas, individually suited to him.
  • Physically, via 12 varsity teams (involving 66% of students) and intramural sports, including a basketball league in which 2/3 of the student body engages in friendly but vigorous competition.
  • Socially, via a multitude of organized extracurricular clubs, but also in an everyday brotherhood that embraces a cherished mantra: "With A Spirit That Will Not Die." When supporting our athletic teams, or by supporting an individual classmate, CovCath students develop into young men in a spirited and caring atmosphere.
