School Notes:

Bishop McManus Academy was the dream of our namesake and founder, Bishop Owen McManus. Begun in 1975, the school has been a driving force in Christian education in the Greater New Orleans area.   Bishop McManus is accredited by SACS, an elite designation which highlights the level of acedemia, ongoing staff training and other rigorous standards which meet or exceed current national educational standards. We are also an approved school with the Louisiana Department of Education.  The unique format of our curriculum allows students to achieve mastery of content. Their personal relationship with God and their personal responsibilities to family, church, and community, which show character development, are of primary concern. Our mission is to produce Christ-centered students with the values, knowledge, and skills required to impact tomorrow’s world.  Going forward our mission cry is:   “Equipped to excel through Christ… changing our generation.”
