St. Angela Merici School
School Notes Overview:
St. Angela Merici School is a ministry of St. Angela Merici Parish. As such it receives its mandate from the missions statement and goals of St Angela Merici Parish. The school teaches and encourages values in our students which are in accord with the teachings of the Catholic Church. We expect our students to behave in a manner which is consistent with these teachings. They will be given ample opportunity to learn the Faith and thereby be given a basis to form moral values for the rest of their lives. The school expects all students to participate in the prayer life of the Church by daily prayers in school, school Mass, and various devotions throughout the year. Parents are expected to reinforce Catholic values and practices that are presented in the school. Parents should provide a home atmosphere which promotes prayer, regular Mass attendance, and those practices which are necessary to a development of the Catholic faith. Only through the cooperation between home and school can we hope to be successful with providing students with those skills and values that are essential to success in later life. As a result, we ask that parents provide a home environment that will assist the school with the total education program of its students. The school will work closely with the parents to assist the child to develop spiritually, morally, socially and emotionally as well as academically....
