- Alton School has been committed to providing a positive and successful learning environment for students since it’s establishment in 1990. Alton School is an adolescent program for students on diploma track, in need of a therapeutic environment. Small class size coupled with high staff ratio enables students to experience educational success. Students work at their own pace, or in small groups with an individualized curriculum. School wide “point and level” system provides behavioral guidelines and structure. Partially departmentalized, students switch classes for core subjects.
