Welcome to Ascension Lutheran School, Home of the Eagles! We are located in Landover Hills, Maryland, just off of Annapolis Road (MD 450), about 1.25 miles inside Exit # 20, off the Capital Beltway. Founded in 1952 as a ministry of Ascension Lutheran Church, we offer kindergarten through Grade 8. Our school is accredited by the Middle States Commission of Elementary Schools and National Lutheran Schools Accreditation. At Ascension we strongly affirm that The Christian Teacher Makes the Difference in the quality of the educational program. With a student body of less than two hundred, we are small enough to address the needs of the individual child in a caring, Christ-centered environment

I have worked at Ascension for almost 3 years, and in my 15+ years of working with children, youth, and teens, I have never seen a Church and School that is more committed to providing a quality Christian education to all who apply.
