School Notes:

  • Grace Bible Baptist School is a ministry of Grace Bible Baptist Church. In 1972, Pastor Earl M. Johnson, Jr. had a vision to start a Bible-preaching, Independent Baptist Church. He began with a handful of people meeting in a local community college. In a short time, God led Pastor Johnson to purchase the present location on Rolling Road. The church experienced the blessing of God as people began to come to the saving knowledge of Christ and young families were added to the church. These were wonderful, formative years of growth. While attending a public high school graduation, a vision was born in the heart of Pastor Johnson to start a Christian school for the families that attended Grace and others. His desire was to provide an education based on the Word of God and that sought to teach, along with academic subjects, the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In 1976 that vision became a reality. The first Administrator of the school was Rev. Tom Gunther, a man who was saved and called to preach under Pastor Johnson's ministry. Through the years, Grace Bible Baptist School has impacted the lives of many young people. Many graduates are in full time Christian ministry and some are faithful members of Grace Bible Baptist Church. Many graduates have gone on to excel in various colleges both Christian and secular.
