Established in 1981, New Dominion School is located in the mountains of western Maryland. New Dominion School operates on a year-round basis where youth are taught to take positive control of their lives, realizing their self-worth, developing self confidence and motivation while living within a natural environment. These achievements allow each student to succeed both socially and academically. New Dominion School is designed to help adolescents who are experiencing behavioral, emotional, or learning difficulties. The program utilizes a unique approach via the group process (positive peer interaction), experiential adventure-based outdoor activities and individualized academic instruction.
