The Frederick Adventist School (FAS) is a Seventh-day Adventist elementary school offering kindergarten through ninth grade. FAS emphasizes spiritual ideals, service to God and humanity, academic excellence, physical achievements and Christian social development. FAS's goal is to help each child reach the highest potential. The Seventh-day Adventist philosophy of education is based upon the belief that God is the Creator - that He made man in His own image, perfect in every way, with great intellectual powers, a child of God. FAS believes that God has ordained a plan of education for His people, an education that is Christ-centered. FAS accepted the Biblical principle, "Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it."
