The Washington New Church School was established as the parish school of the Washington Society of the General Church of the New Jerusalem in 1970. Its primary purpose is to educate the children of church members. The New Church teaches that the prime responsibility for education rests with the parents. Therefore, we have developed a system of education which seeks to be an extension of the home. It is our intention that parents and teachers will work together for the benefit of the children.
