School Notes Overview: |
Southbrook Academy is a community of highly qualified teachers, eager learners, and devoted families. Throughout the school, the focus is on educating and nurturing children in a comfortable and interesting learning environment where individual skills develop, friends are made and success begins. As each child enters the world of school and education, they bring a unique pattern growth that proceeds according to their individual timing. Each child comes with their own personality, learning style, and family background. Recognizing that each classroom group of children will present an enormous variation of individual characteristics, the learning environment will provide a variety of teaching methods, materials, and experiences to meet the unique needs and interests of each child.
The success of our teaching philosophy can be seen in the scores and grades achieved by our students. Our students consistently outperform national norms reported in the Terra Nova standardized tests, regularly scoring in the top 90th percentile among their peers. Their academic achievements are further enhanced by their emotional and social growth. The enthusiasm shown by our students and the passion and support of our parents and teachers are essential factors in each child’s academic and personal growth.
