School Notes Overview:
Sinai Academy of the Berkshires is the Jewish Day School serving Berkshire County and surrounding areas. It provides excellent general and Judaic education to children from Preschool to Grade Five. The school is anchored in Jewish tradition, and the best modern educational practices. Sinai is a community day school, not affiliated with any denomination within Judaism. Students at Sinai Academy have the option of participating in our After School Program. The goal of the program is to provide a wide range of enrichment, extracurricular activities, and socializing opportunities in a safe and contained environment. Among the enrichments offered, we have Music, Art, Downhill Skiing, Random Acts of Kindness, Chinese, Chess, Outdoor Games, and Destination Imagination. Offerings change periodically, and we provide different enrichments for the younger and older students. Children are also served a snack and enjoy some “down time” to socialize with each other, and the older children have an opportunity to do part of their homework. Pre-registration for the After School Program is encouraged, but not required....

PITTSFIELD — For the past month and a half, fourth-graders at Sinai Academy of the Berkshires were busy keeping a secret. On Friday, the class had a big reveal: By investing in acts of goodwill and kindness, eight children helped raise a sum of $2,000 for the Jewish day school.
