Merrimack Valley Christian Day

1195 Varnum Avenue, Lowell, MA, 01854-0185
Merrimack Valley Christian Day is a state licensed, non-profit corporation which has functioned as a ministry of the Lowell First Church of the Nazarene for over 25 years. Our purpose is to educate and provide childcare for children 18months to 8years old. Our philosophy is that every child is a unique individual at a very important period in his or her life. These early years are important for a child's development of positive attitudes toward learning and Christian values. We provide a safe, loving, nurturing environment conducive to enabling each child to reach his or her fullest potential. Our curriculum is based on five areas of development; spiritual, intellectual, physical, emotional, and social. It is a hands on approach designed to educate and enhance the total development of each child, allowing them to develop at their own pace. We are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and meet their standards for developmentally appropriate practices. Our curriculum is drawn from the Massachusetts DOE Guidelines for Preschool Learning Experiences, and the Scholastic Early Childhood Program Building Language for Literacy.
