Wilson Seventh-day Adventist Junior Academy is an institution of the Michigan Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. It is accredited through the Lake Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists by the General Conference Office of Education Board of Regents. The Wilson Junior Academy Foundation exist to provide ongoing funds to supplement, enrich and augment the Christian education of students at WJA, now and in the future. The educational philosophy of Wilson Junior Academy is founded on the philosophy of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, including ideas in regard to the origin, nature, and destiny of man. We believe that God created this world in a literal seven days and that on the seventh day He rested. We believe that man, the crowning act of creation, was made in the image of God. Man was to develop his powers so as to reveal and reflect the glory of his Creator, but through sin, man's physical powers have been weakened, mental capacities lessened, and spiritual wisdom dimmed. As a private Christian Academy, we further feel that any student unwilling to maintain these philosophies should apply elsewhere for more compatible schooling....
