Originally opened in 1951 St. John's began offering quality Catholic education to the people of Hopkins.
Beginning in 1972, SJE began a positive and joyous relationship with St. Joseph's parish in jointly offering Catholic education, which became John Ireland School.
In 2004, there was a reorganization of JIS and the school once again became a parish school and returned to being known as St. John's.
We believe that St. John's Catholic School re-invigorates the heritage and tradition that have been part of the culture of Catholic education in our community.
We, the members of St. John's Catholic School believe and are followers of the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Our students achieve academic success through patient guidance from our staff.
Our parents belong to a community of dedicated men and women who value and support Catholic education.
We offer growth in and commitment to a living faith through Jesus Christ in the Catholic tradition; development of each young person's academic, moral, social and physical abilities; and a strong bond, based on faith and respect, between and among students, faculty, staff, families and parishioners.
