School Notes Overview: |
Laura Baker School provides education to students with developmental disabilities (nonresidential as well as residential) in a nurturing and private setting. The regular school program runs from September through June. Students from age 5 to 22 receive individualized training in basic academics and skill development for daily living, community access and future vocational opportunities. A summer school program runs from June through August, allowing students to maintain their learning while concentrating on leisure and social skills. ...read more

Strong Academics, Personal & vocational training, Individual educational plans reviewed every six months, a psychological evaluation every three years, assistance with vocational placement upon graduation.
- Educational Services
ACADEMICS: Reading, spelling, vocabulary, math, art, physical education, individualized curriculum.
PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT: Daily living skills, personal care, community access, vocational training.
ENRICHMENT: Field trips, shopping, leisure activities.
Additional services such as health monitoring, behavior management or psychological assessments are available if needed. Fees are negotiated based on services requested.
