Richard Wilson, writer of the musical, "He Lived the Good Life," was a special guest of the New Ulm Area Catholic Schools at the Sunday afternoon performance of his musical that depicts the life of Jesus Christ from birth through resurrection. Wilson complimented the cast on their outstanding performance, gave autographs and posed for pictures. - Emergency notification system a possibility for District 88 (The New Ulm Journal)

NEW ULM - As winter makes its approach, District 88 will look, informally, into installing an emergency notification system for parents. NEW ULM - Pumpkinfest drew a steady crowd late Sunday morning and into the afternoon at the Ron and Karen Domeier farm west of town. Dain's Dutchmen of Sleepy Eye played polka music while the Narren held hands and danced with children nearby. Fest-goers ate a variety of food including Happy Joe's Pizza, hot dogs, sauerkraut dogs, bowls of sauerkraut, cookies, donuts, sweet rolls and soft drinks.
