NEW ULM - A third-grade teacher at St. Paul's Lutheran School was among 144 passengers on the Northwest Airlines Airbus A320 that arrived 74 minutes late but landed safely in Minneapolis Wednesday night. Rich Scharf was on the jet that overflew Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport and caused his wife to wait for him for more than an hour longer than expecte.

NEW ULM - St. Paul's Lutheran School's Raider Choir will be performing the Christian musical "Holy Moses." This lighthearted retelling of the Biblical story of Moses is a take-off on the popular home design show "Trading Places." The Raider Choir consists of over 50 sixth through eighth graders under the direction of Steve Biedenbende.

NEW ULM - St. Paul's Lutheran School is celebrating Lutheran Schools Week Sunday, March 1, through Friday, March 6. The week opened with grades K-8 choirs singing at services at St. Paul's and St. John's Lutheran churches Sunday. On Monday, grandparents of students in grades preK-6 were invited to join their grandchildren for chapel, a school tour, a snack and a sing-along.
