With three classrooms (one a larger room divided in half) Deephaven Academy students had plenty of workspace, enough to help stay attentive until 3 p.m. despite the summer weather during one September Thursday.

Many times, teachers start new schools. Some are started by states. Families started this one. On Sept. 1, Deephaven Academy will open for the first time. In May, it was only an idea.
