CLINTON — Washington School leads Pillow Academy 21-7 in the State AAA Division II championship game at Mississippi College. Washington quarterback Eric Vrozovich has thrown two touchdown passes — one for 34 yards and one for 30.

Pillow Academy's play in the State AAA Division II championship game Thursday can be followed on the Commonwealth's Web site (gwcommonwealth.com). The paper will post a halftime report and a postgame report from the title contest that kicks off at 2 p.m. at Mississippi College in Clinton.

Pillow Academy swept a pair of basketball games from Marvell (Ark.) Tuesday night at Pillow. The Mustangs upped their record to 2-0 with a 70-48 win, as senior Anish Sharma led the way with 21 points.
Cultural leader Brown dies at age 88 (The Greenwood Commonwealth)

Mary Norman Craig Brown helped bring art and culture to the Greenwood community. A longtime member of Cottonlandia Museum’s board of directors, she made the principal donation for the building of Pillow Academy’s Craig Performing Arts Center.
