The goals and objectives of Harrisonville Christian School (HCS) are seen as an extension of parental responsibility to educate children in light of who they are in relationship to God, being made in His image -- body, soul, mind, and spirit. We want children to realize their purpose for existing -- to glorify God, to live in fellowship with Him and with others, and to exercise stewardship over His creation. HCS recognizes that students must acquire and practice various learning techniques -- from memorizing to critical thinking and problem solving. Students must move from teacher instruction to the application of knowledge and skills beyond the classroom. The goals of HCS include that of creating learning environments that promote intellectual and spiritual discipline of students. Students who combine a desire to learn with intellectual inquiry are able to establish a lifestyle of learning.
