The Lutheran High School of Kansas City is a private, Christian, high school, located in Kansas City, Missouri. We serve approximately 125 students in grades 9th through 12th. The Lutheran High School of Kansas City was established in 1980 with forty-four 9th and 10th grade students and nine full-time and part-time faculty. There were 23 students in the first Class of 1983. The Lutheran High School of Kansas City has since graduated over 800 students. The Lutheran High School of Kansas City is fully accredited by Cognia and Missouri Non-Public School Accreditation. The Lutheran High School of Kansas City is designed to educate students and guide students to grow fully into the person God created them to be. We believe that each student is unique. God gave each student different talents and skills. Our faculty and staff are prepared to work with every student in the classroom. Our teacher-student relationship is considered vital to the success of our students and school. Our school community also plays a complimentary role in the success of our students and school. I started mid-sophomore year due to some extenuating circumstances. This was back When LHS was just beginning in KC. When I walked in, I felt like I belonged as most all the other students were very friendly and welcoming. The teachers were very caring for each of the students. I was talked into joining the Highlights, a musical class, as a rowdy running the sound equipment. I was slowly convinced by Mr. Towsley that I had some talent in singing as well and yes, I also performed with the group while still operating the sound system, Mr. Lassater, in shop class, brought even more of the best out of me creating leaded glass pictures, forming and welding metal strips into more artwork and reworking an Oak desktop from a desk given to me by my Grandfather (and I still have the desk 30+ years later) and took honors in the class which also lead me to know what part of my calling was in life. Senior your, I was also convinced to play on the soccer team and played every game which allowed me to Letter though I never got the jacket. I thank LHS for making me who I am today and know that they continue to provide a solid education and social environment for everyone.

LHSKC truly provides its students with a Christ-centered education. They offer numerous hands-on learning opportunities through their interim session, yearly language trips to Spain or Germany, music tours, field trips, much more as they continue to make school fun for my children. A quality educational platform paired with God's message makes LHSKC a great choice for anyone looking for a high school.
